The “Leopard” was the medium denomination of the 1344 gold series, valued at three shillings.
- Rarity: Only five specimens are currently known to exist.
- History: Like the Double Leopard, it was withdrawn almost immediately due to an incorrect gold-to-silver valuation ratio suggested by Italian bankers. It features a leopard sitting upright wearing a banner.
- Value: A specimen found in Norfolk in 2019 sold at Dix Noonan Webb in 2022 for £174,600
